Breaking :City Road in Portsmouth Closed off following Incident

Police have closed off a road in Portsmouth this afternoon following an incident. Sultan Road in the city is taped off with teams from Hampshire Police, South central ambulance service and Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance in attendance. It is understood that the air ambulance has landed at the nearby play centre. Two land ambulances and paramedics are also at the scene. Police have restricted access into the road and have turned resident away. One local resident has revealed that a man has fallen from his bike and has been taken by land ambulance from the scene to the awaiting air ambulance. A spokesman for South central ambulance said ” They had sent a number of resources to an incident involving a man who’d fallen from his pushbike the man’s injuries were thought to be serious and potentially life-threatening. The spokesman went to also confirm that the Isle of Wight Air ambualcne has also been tasked to assist at the incident and had flown the made to Southampton General Hospital.
