Man Stabbed to Death Near Busy London Tube Station

A murder probe is underway after a man was fatally stabbed close to Turnpike Lane tube station on Saturday night.

Fatal Stabbing Near Turnpike Lane

Police were called at 9:47pm on 9 June to reports of a seriously injured man on Green Lanes, N15. Officers and London Ambulance Service arrived to find a 35-year-old man suffering stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been named as Edmond Jonuzi, an Albanian national believed to have lived locally. His next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem is planned.

Police Launch Murder Investigation

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) have opened a murder investigation. No arrests have been made so far.

Detective Inspector Garry Moncrieff said: “It would appear that an altercation occurred between two groups of males in the Ducketts Common area at around 9:45pm on Saturday evening. Edmond was stabbed during that altercation.”

“This was a busy area, very near to Turnpike Lane tube station. There will be people who saw or heard something suspicious that could help us find whoever killed Edmond.”

“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to call the incident room at Hendon and share their accounts with police.”
