CCTV images of a man have been released by officers who would like to speak to him as he may be able to help their investigation into a serious assault in Canterbury. A renewed appeal for further information has also been made regarding the reported assault of a man in his 20s at The Westgate Inn in North Lane. The victim was walking into the pub with a friend when the assault took place, at around 10pm on Sunday 17 March 2019. The victim suffered multiple cuts to his face and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Following a review of CCTV opportunities, several images, all believed to be the same man, have been issued by investigating detectives. PC Gareth Foreman said: ‘Thank you to all who have come forward to assist with our enquiries. ‘If there is anyone else who saw anything and hasn’t yet spoken to us, or knows the identity of the man pictured, we ask you to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/50625/19.’
