Monks Park Murder Victim Named as Kwasi Mensah-Ababio, 26

Detectives have identified the man found dead in Monks Park, Wembley, as 26-year-old Kwasi Mensah-Ababio from Neasden. His family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.

Gunshot to the Head: Tragic Death in Wembley Parkland

Police were called at 7.05pm on Sunday, 7 July after London Ambulance Service found Kwasi unresponsive near Monks Park Gardens. Officers discovered he’d suffered head injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem at Northwick Park Mortuary confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head.

Two Arrested as Murder Probe Intensifies

The Specialist Crime Command swiftly arrested two men, aged 20 and 22, in Brent on Thursday, 11 July. Both are held on suspicion of murder at a north London police station.

“We are still appealing for information about this crime. A young man has been killed and his family left devastated — we need people to come forward and tell us what they know,” said Detective Chief Inspector Neil John. “This was a horrific crime.
