Drugs Bust in West Bridgford: Trio Nabbed Over Cannabis Grow Ops
Damaged Car Sparks Police Suspicion
Officers from the Rushcliffe Operation Reacher Team and Rushcliffe North Neighbourhood Policing Team spotted a suspicious, damaged vehicle outside a property on Boxley Drive, West Bridgford. Their hunch paid off when three suspects were caught entering and leaving the house acting oddly on 29 December 2022.
Cannabis Plants and Class A Drugs Discovered
Police searched the property, uncovering freshly cropped cannabis plants alongside new seedlings. They also seized suspected Class A drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a haul of cash. The swoop didn’t stop there.
Second Address Yields More Cannabis and Cash
A follow-up raid on a Stoke Bardolph address revealed another cannabis grow operation and thousands of pounds in cash stashed away.
Three Arrested in Connection to Drug Supply
- A 39-year-old man was arrested for possession and supply of cannabis.
- A 45-year-old man was cuffed on suspicion of cultivating cannabis.
- A 35-year-old man faces charges of cultivation and supply of the Class B drug.
Rob Lawton, Neighbourhood Policing Inspector for Rushcliffe, said: “This was a great example of police teams working together. Taking suspected Class A drugs off the streets is always a great result and I am pleased we have made three arrests.”
