Woman Mauled by Dog After Car Stops on Chigwell Road

Just after midnight on Wednesday 8 March, a car halted on Ongar Road, Chigwell, after its occupants spotted a dog in the middle of the road.

When the woman passenger, in her 50s, stepped out, the dog attacked her, leaving serious wounds to her arm and leg.

Police Hunt for Witnesses and Footage

PC Jack Witney, leading the investigation, urged the public to come forward. He said, “We’d particularly like to see any footage of the incident. We understand a dark-coloured security van may have recorded the attack.”
