Heavy Firefighting Efforts Underway
Five fire engines are on the scene in Leysdown Road, Leysdown-on-Sea, fighting flames engulfing multiple outbuildings. Fire crews, suited up in breathing apparatus, are using hose reel jets and main jets to tackle the blaze.

There are reports the roof may contain asbestos, potentially released into the air by the fire. Residents and workers nearby are urged to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution against smoke exposure.
No Injuries, Road Closure in Place
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed crews are making steady progress. “Five fire engines remain at the scene,” they said. “No injuries have been reported.”
Kent Police have cordoned off Leysdown Road to support fire-fighting efforts. A police spokesperson said: “Officers arrived promptly and closed the road to help emergency crews.”
