Man Arrested After Fatal Shooting in Wandsworth
Police made an arrest on Thursday afternoon, 26 October, in connection with a deadly shooting in Wandsworth. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues.
21-Year-Old Rico Andrews Dies After Gunshots Fired
A murder probe was launched after officers and paramedics rushed to Shuttleworth Road, SW11, at around 9:50pm on Thursday, 5 October, following reports of gunfire.
They found 21-year-old Rico Andrews badly injured and administered emergency first aid. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem confirmed Rico died from a gunshot wound to the chest. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, leading the investigation, said:
“While we have made an arrest, we still need the public’s help. If you were in the area or have any phone or doorbell footage of the incident, please get in touch immediately.”
