A shocking tragedy has rocked a peaceful Worcestershire neighbourhood. An 81-year-old man is being questioned by murder detectives after an 80-year-old woman was found dead in their bungalow on Alexander Avenue, Droitwich.
The elderly suspect, who cared for his cancer-stricken wife and disabled son, now faces murder and attempted murder charges following the horrifying discovery on Friday morning.
Emergency Call Uncovers Fatal Scene and Injured Man
Police and paramedics rushed to the smart street, where homes are valued at around £350,000, after reports of a serious incident. Inside the bungalow, they found the deceased woman and a man in his 40s with serious injuries. The injured man was immediately taken to hospital and remains in stable condition.
The suspect was also hospitalised for treatment before being arrested. The attempted murder charge relates to the injured man living at the property.
