Huge Haul: Drugs, Cash & Weapons Seized
Police uncovered more than £80,000 in cash along with a deadly arsenal – including a firearm, knuckle duster, and a Taser. The crackdown kicked off on Tuesday 16 January 2024 with raids on a 1 Astra, a Jaguar, and eight properties.
Serious Crime Squad Leads the Charge
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is spearheading the probe. So far, three suspects face charges:
- Kastriot Dani, 41, of Cheltenham Close, Rushden, Northamptonshire – charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property (the seized cash).
- Andrew Hemphill, 25, of Upper Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells – charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of cannabis.
- Shellbie Johnson, 25, of Upper Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells – charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Court Drama Unfolds
All three appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 18 January and were remanded in custody. They’re set to face Maidstone Crown Court on 15 February.
The six other suspects have been bailed while investigations continue.
