Hit-and-Run Shocker in Hailsham
Police hunt witnesses after a reckless driver fled the scene of a hit-and-run last night in Hailsham. The smash happened at around 10:36 PM on Diplocks Way, close to the A295 junction.
Driver Injured After Collision
The fleeing vehicle, believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa, crashed into a blue car before speeding off. The driver of the blue car suffered slight injuries but luckily nothing life-threatening.
Police say the hit-and-run car was seen driving recklessly just before the crash. Wreckage at the scene helped identify the suspect vehicle.
Police Urge Public To Come Forward
Sussex Police are appealing for anyone who saw a car with significant front-end damage or caught the vehicle’s registration plate to get in touch.
