Second Charged Over Stabbing Murder of 21-Year-Old in Deptford

Another arrest has rocked Deptford after 21-year-old Robert Robinson was fatally stabbed on Carteret Way on June 6. The grim case now has two men charged with murder.

New Suspect Named: Kirk Harris, 18, in Custody

Dalziell Wedderburn, 44, from Windlass Place, Deptford, was first charged with Robert Robinson’s murder on June 9. Now, 18-year-old Kirk Harris of Upper Brockley Road, New Cross, has also been charged. Harris is due at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.

A third man, aged 50, arrested at the scene remains on bail until September.

How the Tragedy Unfolded

Police rushed to Carteret Way at 10:35 PM after reports of a stabbing. Emergency teams found Robert Robinson with multiple stab wounds, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The post-mortem on June 8 revealed he died from multiple incised wounds. His devastated family have been informed of his tragic death.
