Crossbow Horror in Hertfordshire: Three Women Killed

Tragedy struck Bushey, Hertfordshire, when three women were fatally shot with a crossbow. The 26-year-old suspect, Kyle Clifford, was arrested but has not been questioned yet due to paralysis from a self-inflicted crossbow injury.

Family Home Turns Crime Scene

The deadly attack happened on July 9 at a quiet cul-de-sac in Ashlyn Close. Victims include 61-year-old Carol Hunt, the wife of BBC 5 Live commentator John Hunt, and their daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25. Louise’s alleged ex-boyfriend Clifford reportedly held the family captive before the killings.

Heroic Text Message Leads to Police

During the ordeal, Louise managed to send a text to her current boyfriend, who quickly alerted the authorities. After the attack, Clifford fled but was found unconscious in a nearby Enfield cemetery. His paralysis has postponed police interrogation and delayed formal custody.

Community Mourns; Investigation Ongoing

The Hunt family is devastated. John Hunt expressed deep sorrow but thanked the community for their support. He also praised his surviving daughter Amy for her strength during this heartbreaking time. Hertfordshire’s Major Crime Unit is now leading the probe into this shocking crossbow murder spree.
