74-Year-Old Woman in Life-Threatening Condition After Collision with Prison Vehicle in South Yorkshire

A 74-year-old woman is in a life-threatening condition following a collision with a prison transport vehicle in South Yorkshire. The incident occurred on Doncaster Road, near the junction with Coppice Avenue in Hatfield, around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13.

South Yorkshire Police reported that a DAF GeoAmey prison transport vehicle collided with two pedestrians. Both the woman and a 77-year-old man were taken to the hospital. While the man is in a non-life-threatening condition, the woman remains in critical care.

The police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward as they investigate the circumstances of the collision.
