Kent Police Launch Appeal After Man Raped on Margate Promenade
Shocking Evening Attack on Margate Seafront
Kent Police are urgently hunting a man after a victim reported being raped while walking along Margate promenade on Tuesday, 21 January 2025. The horrific assault took place between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on the stretch between the Lido and Newgate Gap, close to Ethelbert Crescent.
The victim says he was approached by another man who then carried out the brutal attack.

- Wearing all black – hooded coat, tracksuit, and trainers
Police Appeal: Speak Up If You Know Anything
Detectives are combing the area for clues. They’re urging anyone who was nearby or has dashcam, private CCTV, or doorbell footage to come forward immediately.
