Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Ealing have formally identified the victim as 33-year-old Dariusz Serafin. Officers continue to urge witnesses to come forward as the investigation intensifies.

Incident Details

Police were called at 10:15 PM on Monday, 10 February, to The Grosvenor pub on Oaklands Road, Hanwell, after reports that a seriously injured man had stumbled into the venue.

Emergency services, including London Ambulance Service crews, arrived to find Dariusz Serafin suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation Ongoing

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime unit are conducting an extensive investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack. No arrests have been made at this stage.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, stated:
*”We are making good progress with our investigation, and a number of leads are being followed up.

Our enquiries thus far lead us to believe that the stabbing took place in the vicinity of Sydney Road junction with Regina Road. Although this is a predominantly residential area, its proximity to The Broadway—with its shops, pubs, and restaurants still open at the time—suggests there may have been witnesses who saw or heard something.

We urge anyone with information to contact us urgently. There may also be CCTV, ring doorbell, or dashcam footage relevant to the investigation.

We are particularly asking anyone who was in the area between 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM on Monday, 10 February, to check their footage and contact police if they have captured anything that may assist the investigation.”*

Family’s Emotional Tribute

Dariusz Serafin’s family, who are being supported by specialist officers, released a heartfelt statement:
*”Dariusz, known for his boundless empathy and loving spirit for people and animals, touched everyone he met with his kindness and compassion. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.

In his honour, his family urges everyone to help end senseless knife crime in London and assist in bringing the person responsible for his death to justice. Rest peacefully, Dariusz.“*
