Axe-Wielding Burglars Smash Through Whitstable Homes in Brazen Raids
Police are hunting witnesses after two linked break-ins rocked Whitstable, with one gang reportedly armed with an axe. The suspects smashed rear windows to break into homes, kicking off a manhunt for the culprits.
Details of the Break-Ins
- First raid: Millstrood Road, around 2am on Monday, 10 February 2025.
- Second raid: Walmer Road, roughly 4am on Tuesday, 11 February 2025.
In both crimes, glass was smashed at the properties’ backs to gain entry. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Cash was stolen from the Walmer Road property, but the Millstrood Road home was ransacked yet left empty-handed.
Suspect Profiles Revealed
Walmer Road: Three suspects, all slim white men with local accents. One stood about 5ft 7in; another was 5ft 1in. They wore masks, black coats, grey trousers, and gloves.
Millstrood Road: Two suspects. One wore a hood and mask. They fled without stealing anything.

Detectives urge locals to check CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area and report anything suspicious.
