Urgent Search Underway for Missing Runner Jenny Hall in County Durham

23-Year-Old Vanishes After Afternoon Run

Emergency services are racing against time to find 23-year-old Jenny Hall, who disappeared two days ago from her home in Tow Law. She was last spotted just after 3 PM on Tuesday, 18 February, before setting off on one of her usual runs.

Her red Ford Focus was found abandoned on the B6278 road between Eggleston and Stanhope, triggering a massive search operation across the rugged Durham moors.

Massive Search Effort in Rugged Moors

Durham Constabulary has deployed sniffer dogs, mountain rescue teams, and HM Coastguard to scour over 100 miles of running trails and moorlands in the Teesdale area. The search is heavily focused on Jenny’s favourite running routes between Eggleston and Hamsterley.

Local volunteers, landowners, and the Rurali community are all pitching in, helping rescues navigate the challenging terrain in an intense hunt for clues.

No Digital Breakthrough – Police Press Public

The police’s Digital Intelligence Unit has combed through Jenny’s mobile phone, smartwatch, and running apps but found no solid leads. Inspector Dean Haythornthwaite said:

“We’re deeply concerned and following every lead. The public’s support is crucial.”

“We’re concentrating on her known running routes and working round the clock to find Jenny and bring her home.”

Anyone who saw Jenny or her red Ford Focus on Tuesday afternoon is urged to contact the police immediately.
