Leeds Trio Nabbed Cruising Derbyshire Truck Stops Without Insurance
Three lads from Leeds are in deep trouble after being caught “cruising” truck stops and motorway service areas across Derbyshire — all without insurance.
“Just Bought It” Excuse Falls Flat
Derbyshire Police spotted the suspicious trio hanging around several service stations. When asked about their vehicle, the men shrugged it off, claiming they’d “just bought it.” Officers weren’t impressed.
A quick check confirmed the car had no valid insurance. The vehicle was promptly seized, and the three blokes now face fines, points on their licences, and possible court appearances.
Police Serve a Stern Warning
Taking to social media, Derbyshire Police quipped,
“Three lads from Leeds seen cruising the county’s truck stops and service stations. ‘Just bought it’?? No insurance??⚖️ Vehicle seized, points and fines incoming.”
A spokesperson added: “We regularly patrol service areas to disrupt crime and ensure all vehicles are legal and safe. Drive uninsured? Expect to lose your car and face prosecution.”
Vehicle Seized and Men Reported
The seized car is now locked up in a secure compound while the men await their fate. Drivers beware — skimping on insurance isn’t worth the risk.
