Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a 17-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash near the Cattle Market Car Park in Liskeard during the early hours of Friday morning.

Emergency Response

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police were called at approximately 5:00am on Friday, 27 June, following reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a motorcycle.

The rider was found at the scene with serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been publicly disclosed.

The road was closed for several hours while officers from the Roads Policing Team conducted a thorough investigation. Police have thanked the public for their patience and cooperation during the closure.

Appeal for Information

Police are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident—or who has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash—to come forward.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the motorcyclist prior to the collision or captured footage in the vicinity of the Cattle Market Car Park around 5am.”
