Serious Single-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Roads

A 17-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle smash near the Cattle Market Car Park in Liskeard. The crash happened just after 5am on Friday, 27 June.

Emergency crews from Devon and Cornwall Police rushed to the scene after reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle. The rider was found badly hurt and was quickly taken to hospital for urgent treatment. His current condition remains undisclosed.

The road remained closed for several hours as the Roads Policing Team carried out a thorough investigation. Police thanked local residents and drivers for their patience and cooperation during the disruption.

Police Launch Witness Appeal

Officers are now keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or has CCTV or dashcam footage from around 5am near the Cattle Market Car Park.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

“We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the motorcyclist before the collision or captured footage in the vicinity of the Cattle Market Car Park around 5am.”
