Man Charged with Double Murder After Bloody Bermondsey Stabbing
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the brutal stabbing deaths of a father and son in Bermondsey.
Fatal Attack on Father and Son
Hassan Cevik, from Hackney, faces two counts of murder, one count of grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon. The charges relate to the fatal stabbing of Terry and Brendan McMillan on Long Lane, SE1.
Police were called to the scene at around 1pm on 28 July after reports of a violent assault at a business unit.
Brutal Scene Leaves Father and Son Dead
- Brendan McMillan, 27, died instantly at the scene.
- His father, 58-year-old Terry McMillan, died later in hospital.
- Another man, 47, was seriously injured but survived the attack.
Cevik was arrested on the same day and taken to hospital for treatment. He was discharged on 9 August and charged the following day. He is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on 11 August.
