On Sunday, 7th September 2015, chaos unfolded on Pound Road in East Peckham, Tonbridge, as a fire erupted late afternoon. The Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action after receiving emergency calls around 6.05pm.

Firefighting Battles Flames

Two fire engines arrived swiftly. Firefighters, clad in breathing apparatus, fought the fire head-on. Hose reel jets tackled the blaze that had already wrecked two wheelie bins and threatened nearby buildings.

Crews deployed a high-pressure ventilation fan to blow thick smoke from the building, helping save the structure from further damage.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Fire investigators are now digging deep to uncover what sparked the fire.
