Two Men attacked and Hospitalized after Street Robbery in Reading

Police have released CCTV footage of four men who could have vital information following a robbery and assault in Reading. The incident took place in Broad Street close to the junction with Chain Street between 3.30am and 3.45am yesterday (23/12). The victims, two men aged 25 and 28, were assaulted by a group of men. The first victim sustained an injury to his eye, while the other victim sustained head injuries. A mobile phone and a set of keys were stolen from the victims during the incident. They were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment and have since been discharged. Investigating officer Det Con Laura Peacock of Reading Local CID, said: “I am appealing for the men show in this CCTV image to come forward as they could have information which is vital to our investigation. “If anyone recognises these men, or has any information relating to this incident, please contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101.”
