Two Men Left Injured After Brutal Street Robbery in Reading

Two men were attacked and ended up in hospital following a vicious robbery in Reading’s Broad Street in the early hours yesterday.

Violent Assault on Broad Street

The incident happened between 3.30am and 3.45am near the Chain Street junction on the 23rd of December. A group of men targeted two victims aged 25 and 28, leaving one with a serious eye injury and the other with head wounds.

Robbers Make Off With Mobile and Keys

During the assault, the attackers stole a mobile phone and a set of keys from the victims. Both men were rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment but have since been discharged.

Police Urge Public to Help Identify Suspects

Detective Constable Laura Peacock from Reading Local CID said: “I am appealing for the men shown in this CCTV image to come forward as they could have information which is vital to our investigation.”

She added, “If anyone recognises these men, or has any information relating to this incident, please contact Thames Valley Police on the non-emergency number 101.”
