Blaze Destroys Three Beach Huts on Margate Seafront
Firefighters were quick on the scene after a fiery blaze broke out at Margate’s Westcliff Road, gutting three beach huts and damaging two more.
Three Huts Reduced to Ashes
Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed in to tackle the inferno that swept through the seafront huts. The flames completely destroyed three huts, leaving just charred wreckage behind.
Neighbors’ Huts Also Suffer Damage
Two adjoining huts suffered fire damage, putting more of the iconic seaside structures at risk.
Propane Cylinders Removed in Dramatic Rescue
Firefighters bravely removed and cooled three propane cylinders, using high-pressure hoses to stop a potential gas explosion.
A Kent Fire spokesperson said, “Our teams acted swiftly to contain the blaze and secure the site, prioritising safety above all.“
