Knife-Wielding Thief Strikes Market Street Shop
Shoppers were left shaken after a man stormed a store on Market Street on Wednesday 10 February at around 6pm. The suspect threatened two female staff with a knife before fleeing the scene on a pedal bike, making off with two cash boxes.
No Injuries But Horrifying Ordeal
Miraculously, nobody was physically hurt during the terrifying attack. However, the two women were left deeply disturbed by the incident.
Police Hunt Suspect – Can You Help?
Detective Inspector Leanne Hobin is urging anyone who recognises the man pictured or who witnessed suspicious activity near Market Street that evening to come forward.
“Thankfully the victims were not physically harmed but remain extremely shaken. We want to speak to the man pictured, as he may have vital information for our investigation,” said DI Hobin.
“We’re committed to educating the public, making arrests, and seizing knives to stop this kind of violence. Please tell us if you know where knives are hidden or who’s carrying them.”
