Two Years On: Remembering PC Andrew Harper’s Brave Last Duty
Today marks two years since the tragic death of PC Andrew Harper, who lost his life in the line of duty. Officers and communities across the country have paused to honour his courage and sacrifice.
Hampshire Police Pay Tribute
Hampshire Police supported Thames Valley Police during the investigation by guarding the scene and providing vital assistance. They left a heartfelt card at the spot where PC Harper died. It read:
“To Andrew, Police Constable 7605 Harper, who fell close to this spot apprehending suspects. Thinking of you and your loved ones, taken far too soon from this world. Sending love from the team at Yateley Police Station – Hampshire Constabulary.”
Fatal Incident on Berkshire’s A4 Bath Road
Thames Valley Police recounted the harrowing events of August 15, 2019. PC Harper had responded to reports of a burglary when he was fatally dragged by a vehicle along the A4 Bath Road in Berkshire. Multiple fatal injuries led to his untimely death.
“Rest in peace, PC Harper,” said Thames Valley Police, remembering their fallen officer and his ultimate sacrifice.
