Detectives in Rotherham are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man they wish to speak to regarding the alleged rape of a teenage girl. The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, July 6, around 9pm The girl was walking with a group of friends through Eastwood Playing Fields, located off Eldon Road and Hardwicke Road in the Eastwood area of the town.
While inquiries are ongoing, officers are particularly interested in identifying a man who they believe may have valuable information related to the investigation. The individual is described as white, aged approximately 18 to 20 years old, standing around 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build, and short brown hair styled in a “back and sides” haircut. He was reportedly wearing a plain grey hoodie, blue jogging bottoms with stripes down the leg, and white trainers.
The authorities are urging anyone who recognises the man in the image or was present in the park during the specified time or nearby streets and may have seen him to come forward with any information.
