Rap star Ghetts, real name Justin Clarke-Samuel, appeared at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on October 20. He’s been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a fatal crash in East London.

Fatal Hit-and-Run on Redbridge Lane East

On October 18, emergency crews were scrambled to Redbridge Lane East following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. The driver allegedly sped off, leaving the victim injured on the road.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, later died in hospital, turning the crash into a tragic hit-and-run.

Rapper Held in Custody Ahead of Next Court Date

Clarke-Samuel was remanded in custody during the hearing. He is due back at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on October 27. Prosecutors are expected to upgrade the charge now the victim has died.
