Levi James, 21, a known local dealer, was spotted by police riding his electric Surron bike through Gabalfa on August 5, 2025. He tried to hide his face with a balaclava but couldn’t evade the long arm of the law.

High-Speed Arrest During Major Drug Crackdown

Officers from Operation Auklet, targeting drug crime in the area, swooped on James in Lydstep Park. Bodycam footage reveals a dramatic chase through a wooded footpath, ending with a Taser-wielding cop wrestling James to the ground. The dealer fought back briefly but quickly gave up when backup arrived with a stun gun.

On February 16, 2026, James, from Ty Mawr Road, Llandaff North, was sentenced to 48 months behind bars for his crimes. Police hailed the bust as a major win in their fight against drug crime.
