A 26-year-old man has been found guilty of murdering Alexis De Naray, 46, in a shocking case that gripped Stafford Crown Court for 12 days.
What Happened?
Adam Rowson brutally killed Alexis last summer in Shrewsbury. Her body was found abandoned near the Shelton water tower on 27 June 2025. Investigators quickly zeroed in on Rowson as the prime suspect. He was the last person to see Alexis alive and was caught using her bank card to buy alcohol and scratchcards.
Detective Speaks Out
“Alexis died as a result of a vicious and prolonged assault at the hands of Rowson,” said Detective Inspector Joanne Delahay, who led the probe. “I’m pleased he’s been found guilty and will now face a substantial prison sentence. Our thoughts remain with Alexis’s family and friends, who have shown incredible strength throughout this ordeal.”
Next Steps
Rowson remains in custody and will be sentenced on Wednesday, 6 May at Stafford Crown Court. Justice is on the horizon for Alexis De Naray.
