Rapid Response to Shooting in SE5
The London Ambulance Service sprang into action at 9.44pm on Wednesday 8 April after reports of a shooting at the junction of Carew Street and Denmark Road, SE5.
Full Medical Team Deployed
Multiple units were sent to the scene, including:
- Ambulance crews
- An advanced paramedic
- A paramedic from the tactical response unit
- An incident response officer
- A trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance
Victim Rushed to Major Trauma Centre
Our first crews arrived within three minutes and treated a patient with a gunshot wound. The victim was then swiftly taken to a major trauma centre as a top priority.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “We treated a patient for a gunshot wound and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
