Two suspects are set to face court over the fatal stabbing of a young man in Whitstable.
Fatal Stabbing Shakes Whitstable
Kent Police rushed to Belmont Road at 2.04am on Friday 3 April 2026 after reports of an assault. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service found 19-year-old Ashton Harrington with fatal stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Arrests Made in Sittingbourne
On Monday, 13 April, officers arrested two men at a property in Sittingbourne. The Crown Prosecution Service has charged 19-year-old Kieron Barnes of Romney Court, Sittingbourne, and 21-year-old Tobias Agbaje of Claremont Street, Herne Bay, with murder. Both men also face charges of possessing a bladed article.
Remand and Court Appearance
The pair have been remanded and are due to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 15 April.
