A 27-year-old man from Hull has been jailed for attempting to rape a woman in her own home. Qudus Ajeyemi, of May Street, was found guilty at Hull Crown Court on 26 May 2026 after a week-long trial. The incident, which took place in a private residence where the victim should have felt safe, led to a prison sentence, a restraining order, and lifelong registration as a sex offender.

On 15 June 2026, Ajeyemi was sentenced to five years and six months in custody.
