London’s Air Ambulance has announced the appointment of Dr Chrissie Hymers as Lead Clinician.

Dr Hymers first joined the service as a HEMS Fellow in 2012 before becoming a HEMS Consultant in 2018.

Since then, she has taken on a number of clinical and leadership roles, contributing to developments in pre-hospital emergency medicine and working alongside the charity’s frontline teams.

London’s Air Ambulance said her experience spans both clinical practice and leadership, with a focus on improving care for seriously injured patients across the capital.

Her new role will see her take on greater responsibility within the clinical leadership of the service as London’s Air Ambulance continues to develop its emergency response capabilities.

The charity has also published an interview with Dr Hymers reflecting on her career, the clinical team and what she hopes to achieve in the new position.
