The Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP) has launched a £1 million funding pot aimed at shaking up the UK’s offshore wind industry. The Innovation Grant competition is designed to back UK supply chain firms working on cutting-edge solutions that could transform the sector.

The latest grant focuses on two crucial themes:
- Future Cables and Electrical Systems
- Next Generation Installation and Operations & Maintenance Technologies
Industry big players Ocean Winds and ScottishPower Renewables are backing the initiative. Both companies are eager to support projects that tackle major challenges and push offshore wind tech forward.
Funding Details and Eligibility
- Grants from £25,000 up to £200,000 available
- Funding covers up to 50% of total project costs
- Open to UK firms already in or diversifying into the offshore wind supply chain
- Projects must be near-market or market-ready with strong growth potential
The grants align with the UK’s Offshore Wind Industrial Growth Plan and Supply Chain Capability Analysis, focusing on high-growth sectors primed to boost the economy and create jobs.
