On 21 July 2024, officers patrolling Mounts Road, Greenhithe, clocked a car with no front number plate – and no insurance.

White powder found in vehicle sparks major drugs raid

A search of the vehicle uncovered a bag of white powder, believed to be cocaine, on the front seat, alongside a mobile phone.

Property raids uncover stash of drugs and weapons

Police didn’t stop there. At a Greenhithe property on Knockhall Road, they found more drugs, including cannabis and cocaine, plus two phones. Then, a storage cupboard at the same address revealed 2.5kg of cocaine, cannabis, suspected fentanyl powder, three handguns, and ammunition.

Meanwhile, at a second property on Chart Hill Road, maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone, officers seized numerous bags of cannabis, weighing scales, and a large haul of cash.

Five people arrested amid major organised crime swoop

The raids culminated in five arrests. Police are now investigating links to wider drug and firearm crimes in the area.
