Woman Attacked in St Mark’s Park – Police Hunt Mystery Good Samaritans
Just after 2am on 19th September, a woman in her 30s was assaulted in St Mark’s Park, near Swindon town centre. The attacker, described as a slim man with dark skin, around 5ft 5in tall, and wearing a black leather jacket, fled the scene immediately.
Three Good Samaritans Stepped In – Police Want to Hear From Them
Before and after the attack, the woman was helped or approached by three separate men. Police urgently want to speak to these men to aid their investigation:
- The first man approached her near Cricklade Road and walked with her to the park where the assault happened.
- The second man intervened during an argument between the victim and suspect and offered assistance.
- The third man helped after the attack, took her to McDonald’s on Great Western Way, bought her food, and arranged a taxi home.
Police Reassure Public, Appeal for Information
