Knife-Wielding Robber Strikes SPAR in Broad Daylight
Police want YOUR help to ID a suspect who held up a Calne convenience store at knifepoint.
Shocking Robbery at Calne SPAR
At around 11:20am on October 21, a masked thug stormed into the SPAR on James Avenue. Armed with a knife, he threatened the cashier before snatching multiple items from behind the counter. The robber then made a swift getaway.
Luckily, the cashier escaped without injury, but both staff and customers were left shaken.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Leading the case, LCI Higgins said: “This was a scary incident for the cashier and customers in the store and we are determined that the perpetrator is brought to justice as soon as possible.”
He added: “The suspect covered their face, but someone out there may recognise the person or their clothing. If you know who this is or have any information, get in touch.”
