Breaking: Road Shutdown in Portsmouth After Serious Bike Crash
Sultan Road in Portsmouth is shut tight this afternoon after a man took a nasty fall from his bike. Police, paramedics, and even the air ambulance rushed to the scene in a dramatic emergency response.

Hampshire Police have cordoned off Sultan Road, blocking all access and turning residents away. Teams from South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance are on site, with the chopper having touched down nearby at a local play centre.
Man’s Injuries ‘Serious and Potentially Life-Threatening’
A local said the man was taken by land ambulance to meet the waiting air ambulance. South Central Ambulance confirmed, “They had sent a number of resources to an incident involving a man who’d fallen from his pushbike. The man’s injuries were thought to be serious and potentially life-threatening.”
Air Ambulance Flies Victim to Hospital
The Isle of Wight Air Ambulance airlifted the man to Southampton General Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. Authorities continue to keep Sultan Road closed as investigations and rescue efforts continue.
