Emergency teams scrambled to Yaverland Beach on the Isle of Wight this evening after a man was dragged out to sea. Coastguard crews from Bembridge and Ventnor rushed to the scene following a call from the UK Coastguard.

The man suffered a suspected heart attack while in the sea. Lifeboat crews rescued him and paramedics treated him with CPR at the scene before rushing him to hospital. The dramatic rescue unfolded just before 6.15pm.
