Massive Police Response to Hackney Rave
More than 300 officers swarmed a huge house party in Hackney in the early hours of Sunday, sources reveal. The gathering reportedly drew hundreds to a property on Detmold Road, Upper Clapton.
Helicopter and Riot Police Deployed
The Met pulled out all the stops, deploying a police helicopter to monitor the scene from above. Trojans, City of London Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">City of London Police, and riot-trained Territorial Support Group (TSG) officers converged on the property, some wielding riot batons as they approached.
Officers Still Holding the Scene
A “police eye in the sky” kept watch while officers processed the crowd below. Scores of law enforcement personnel and resources remain in the area. The Met have yet to confirm if any arrests were made.
