Driver Crashes White Vauxhall Into New Forest Building – Escapes Serious Injury
A driver was rushed to hospital after smashing a White Vauxhall into a building in the New Forest this afternoon. The crash happened at the junction of South Street and St John’s Street in Hythe just after 12.30pm today (Saturday).
Driver Loses Control, Crashes Into Property
Emergency services were called following reports of a loud bang. Witnesses described a chaotic scene with police, fire crews, and paramedics rushing to the site.
“We heard a huge bang then saw the emergency crews arrive,” said one local resident. “There were loads of police and paramedics everywhere.”
Police Launch Investigation, Road Remains Closed
Hampshire Police confirmed they were called at 12:26pm about the incident involving a single vehicle crashing into a building.
A spokesperson said: “The driver is being taken to Southampton General Hospital. They do not appear to have serious injuries.”
The road remains closed as officers continue their investigations.
