Emergency Services Rescue Two Trapped in Overturned Car in Portsmouth

Emergency crews rushed to New Road in Copnor, Portsmouth, after a car flipped over just before 10pm on Sunday.

Crash Closes Key Roads

A silver Nissan Micra overturned near Pam’s Flower Shop, trapping two people inside. Police quickly shut part of New Road and Copnor Bridge to make way for rescue efforts.

Firefighters Cut Victims Free

Fire crews from Southsea used specialist cutting gear to free the trapped passengers. Paramedics from South Central Ambulance treated both at the scene before rushing them to QA Hospital in Portsmouth.

Roads Reopened After Rescue

After the victims were safely removed and taken to hospital, authorities reopened the roads, allowing traffic to return to normal.
