Sussex Police are investigating the stabbing death of Tyio Day at Moon’s Lodge hostel in Brighton in the early hours of Sunday, April 26. Emergency services responded to a serious altercation at the hostel where Tyio, also known locally as Marcus, was pronounced dead at the scene despite paramedics’ efforts. A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Meanwhile, another man in his 30s was seriously injured and is receiving hospital treatment.

A second man, believed to be in his 30s, suffered serious injuries during the same incident and remains under medical care. Sussex Police have yet to provide further updates on his condition.
