Teen Stabbed to Death in Canning Town
A young man known locally as Junior Jah, aka Y.Grinnawho, was tragically stabbed to death today in Canning Town. Police were called to Coolfin Road at around 2:45pm on Monday, 26 April, where the 18-year-old was found with fatal injuries. Despite the desperate efforts of officers and paramedics, Junior died at the scene.
Family Heartbreak: Second Son Lost to Knife Crime
Junior’s family was left devastated after receiving the grim news. They broke down at the scene as officers informed them their son had died. This tragedy echoes the pain they suffered four years ago, when Junior’s brother, Ahmed Jah, aka Grinna, was also stabbed to death in Canning Town.
Police Launch Investigation, No Arrests Yet
A crime scene remains in place as inquiries continue into the deadly stabbing. No arrests have been made so far. A Section 60 order, allowing police to stop and search without suspicion, has been authorised across the entire Newham borough from 4pm on Monday to 7am Tuesday.
