A man has been charged with murder following his extradition from the United Arab Emirates to the UK in connection with the stabbing of 27-year-old Kamonnan Thiamphanit, also known as Angela. The fatal attack happened at her home in Stanhope Place, Westminster, in the early hours of Monday 8 April 2024. Metropolitan Police officers responded after finding Kamonnan suffering multiple stab wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
United Arab Emirates Tragedy
On Friday 24 April, 18-year-old Enzo Bettamio, with no fixed address, was extradited from Dubai to the UK after joint efforts by the Met Police and Crown Prosecution Service’s extradition and international units. Bettamio was formally charged with murder the following day.
Court Appearance
Bettamio is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 25 April. The charge relates directly to the fatal collision of events on 8 April in Westminster.
