Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight on Crystal Palace Street
A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital after a stabbing on Belvedere Road, Crystal Palace. The attack happened around 1:30 pm on January 9, 2024.
Emergency Services Race to Scene
The Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance jumped into action after reports of the stabbing. Officers found the injured man with stab wounds and quickly administered life-saving aid.
The victim was swiftly taken to a nearby major trauma centre. Doctors say his injuries are serious but not life-threatening, giving hope for a full recovery.
No Suspects Yet, Police Launch Investigation
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at around 13:30 hrs to Belvedere Road, Croydon, following reports of a stabbing. Officers discovered a man in his 30s with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening. Detectives from South Area Command have launched an investigation. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting CAD 3185/9Jan.”
The Ambulance Service added:
“We were called at 1:30 pm regarding an incident on Belvedere Road, Anerley. We sent an incident response officer, ambulance crew, a fast-response medic, and London’s Air Ambulance. The man was treated at the scene before being taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
So far, no arrests have been made. Police are urging witnesses to come forward to help crack the case.
