A grim scene unfolded in Gosport this afternoon as a person sadly died in Leelands Park. Despite the rapid response from paramedics and an air ambulance doctor, the individual succumbed to massive injuries at the scene.

Emergency services received the call just before 6pm. South Central Ambulance Service dispatched an air ambulance, one ambulance crew, and two rapid response vehicles to the park. Paramedics and the air ambulance doctor fought tirelessly to save the person but were unsuccessful.
