Midlands Air Ambulance Scrambles to Alton Towers Rapids
Midlands Air Ambulance, based at RAF Cosford, raced to Alton Towers in Staffordshire this afternoon. The chopper, known as Chelimed 03, was called in just after 1.30pm following reports of an incident in the rapids area of the theme park.
Man in 50s Airlifted to Hospital After Incident on Ride
A man in his 50s suffered a “funny turn” while on one of the park’s rides. Paramedics treated him at the scene before flying him to Royal Stoke Hospital for further care.
